• Dr. Michael Milbocker – Research and Development
  • Dr. Milbocker has broad experience in the medical device industry, embracing cardiovascular support devices, design of preclinical animal studies, design of clinical studies, and regulatory submissions. He is the founder of Praxis, LLC, co-founder of Promethean Surgical Devices, and most recently co-founder of Soft Tissue Sciences, before going off on his own Dr. Milbocker was Principal Scientist and Director of the Artificial Myocardium NIH sponsored IVAS program for Abiomed.
  • Dr. Milbocker has 25 years experience in medical device development including several SBIR research grants in cardiovascular applications and several patents in the areas of extra-cardiac actuation, tissue adhesives, in situ polymerizing tissue scaffolds for the treatment of SUI and LES, biocompatible coatings for surgical mesh, cohesive gels for dermal bulking, anti-adhesive layers for post-cardiac surgery, eye tracking devices for automated measurement of retinal blood flow, and various optical patents. Dr. Milbocker holds degrees in Physics, High Energy Particle Physics, and Theoretical Physics from Boston College and MIT.
